Whats your BIG ASK? Or do you have one?

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds, and to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
— Matthew 7:7-8

Nadine is a woman of prayer!  As a matter of fact, Nadine can instruct you on how to go to God in prayer, and teach you how to write a prayer for your marriage, your children and anything else that needs prayer.

These prayers were always formulated with scripture being the foundation, but when it came to the big ask; Nadine shied away from that.  Some may say Nadine’s prayers were powerful, but safe.  In her head, Nadine knew what she needed, but she kind of thought, “Ok, God knows what I need so no need to bother Him during my prayer time with my personal needs.  I need to pray for all of this other stuff; my husband, my children, my parents, the people at my church, etc. etc. etc.  I’ll be humble and only ask for wisdom to lead God’s people and the words that’s needed to pray for God’s people.”

In her quest to stay on top of prayer, Nadine started reading a New York Times Best Seller book called “The Circle Maker”.  This is a book by Mark Batterson on prayer.  In chapter 2 of this really good book were these words:

“Bold prayers honor God, and God honors bold prayers.  God isn’t offended by your biggest dreams or boldest prayers.  He is offended by anything less.  If your prayers aren’t impossible for you, they are insulting to God. Why?  Because they don’t require divine intervention.  But ask God to part the Red Sea, or make the sun stand still or float an iron ax head, and God is moved to omnipotent action. There is nothing that God loves more than keeping promises, answering prayers, performing miracles, and fulfilling dreams.”

This statement in this very good book changed the trajectory of Nadine’s prayer life. As much as Nadine knew about prayer, she hadn’t thought enough of her God to ask Him for what He already desired for her life in the first place- in prayer.

I would say to everyone who is reading this, ask God for the smallest minute thing that you need, the great big thing that you need, AND everything in between.  He is the reason that you have a want, a desire and a dream in the first place.

Without you knowing or feeling it, the Holy Spirit has planted many desires deep inside of you.  They all are a part of your destiny, purpose, plan and journey.  Each one of them will surface in God’s own time, when He knows you are ready.

Guys, If you have not guessed by now, this lady Nadine is me.  I am Ingrid Nadine Pickett and I am a prayer warrior.

I will pray for you, but I have learned to also pray for me.  I am asking my Father God for some audacious things, and I am so glad to know that it’s because of Him that I do, and it’s because of Him that every prayer will manifest Live and in Living Color in His perfect time.

What are you asking God for people?  I challenge you to make your ask bigger, bigger and bigger.  God can handle it.
